Introduction

Hotel Cronstadt is a small boutique hotel close to the beach. We provide a personalized experience using our local knowledge of Nice and the surrounding areas.

The Hotel

Hotel Cronstadt is very small, very quiet and has reasonable prices, located at the very heart of Nice.
The distance from the hotel to the beach is less than a hundred metres. There's only the Promenade des Anglais to cross. The hotel building, from 1925, is located in a flowered courtyard. Higher buildings all around screen off the traffic noise.
We have a total of ten hotel rooms, all with private facilities. The rooms are all different and are big for french conditions. All the rooms are individually decorated, with high stucco ceilings and equally high window bays. The rooms are well heated during the winter period and the whole hotel is air conditioned during the the summer period of more intense night heat.

We speak quite a few different languages including fluent English.

Upon arrival, we would be happy to help organize your entire stay in Nice and give local tips (this is one of the most appreciated features in our online reviews).

The hotel is family operated.

The reception is open for enquiries and check-ins between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. After prior agreement, a continental breakfast can be served between 8.30 and 10 a.m. The breakfasts are most of the time quite intimate, cosy events, well suited for chats and questions. We speak quite a few different languages.


The Destination


The city of Nice is the capital and the center of the French Riviera. It's a major city and an outstandingly beautiful and impressive one. Our general advice would be to give Nice itself plenty of time. A second more general advice would be to refrain from renting a car only for the days in Nice. A third is to avoid city-hopping within the area. You may consider making Nice your base for the whole time in the area, then making daytrips. Please note that France is a big country and that e.g. Provence is a distinctly different and much bigger geographical area, at a considerable distance from the much more limited French Riviera.
